Round three was my favorite part of this three-part activity. Using frames in a variety of shapes and sizes, students found little pieces of art within the larger mural. Students placed their frames where they found a great texture, some interesting colors, a great shape, or simply a place to which they found themselves drawn. It was fascinating to see how everyone has a different thought about what was worth framing.

Rounds Two and Three
Round two required students to find some elements of art in the abstract murals. Students labeled line, negative space, texture, form, value, color, shape, and space. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera in action for this part! The class found some great examples of the elements.
